Be at the Forefront. Develop a 2019 Plan!

There's been a lot of news and press recently about various companies announcing their year 2020 plans and I'm thinking this is a great opportunity for one of them to launch a 2019 plan or something earlier, you know, to be ahead of the curve.

There's been a lot of news and press recently about various companies announcing their year 2020 plans and I'm thinking this is a great opportunity for one of them to launch a 2019 plan or something earlier, you know, to be ahead of the curve. I'm not sure what it is about the year 2020 other than it's a nice round number and a solid target to aim at, ignoring for a moment 5-year planning and such.

The origin of this thought arose after reading the just released webinar from the storied and troubled Royal Bank of Scotland, which stated that their ambition is to be "number one for customer service, trust, and advocacy in each of our business areas by…." you guessed it, "2020". Really? Keeping in mind that we are already 7 to 8 years out from the beginnings of the last by FlashMall" href="#54382135″> financial crisis and that's another 5 years to go for this bank, and more importantly its customers, before reaching the sublime.
