The EU's push to create a "digital single market" will bolster demand for digital consulting services in Europe

The European Commission (EC) has announced plans to extend its single market into the realm of digital services, removing or reducing barriers to trade between the 28 EU member states by seeking to harmonize differing rules in areas such as copyrights, sales tax, content delivery, and mobile data roaming charges. The plans also reflect the EC's desire to bring the (primarily US) companies such as Google, Facebook, and Amazon that currently dominate digital platforms under increased regulatory scrutiny and control.
