Buck Consultants has launched a green awareness consulting service that aims to help employers change their employees' behavior in the office and at home regarding energy conservation and avoiding waste.
The green services market continues to grow, and employers are looking for simple, effective best practices to incorporate into the workplace. The program includes monthly electronic communication and newsletters, as well as appointing "green coordinators" in local offices to continually develop the company's green strategy.
In an internal implementation of the plan, Buck Consultants were able to reduce waste through increased recycling, decreased printing, reducing use of bottled water and styrofoam cups, switching to compact fluorescent light bulbs and more.
