Is It Bedtime Already? Who needs a wake up call? Officials at Crowne Plaza hotels say what business travelers need these days is a gentle reminder that it's time to shut down and get some sleep. That's why the chain rolled out its Switch Off Call service to its U.K. hotels in December.

"When people travel on business they feel under pressure to work even longer hours than normal," says Paul Brackley, the general manager of the Crowne Plaza London the City. "Most of our guests are frequent business travelers who work long hours and find it impossible to switch off at the end of the day. This service is our way of telling them enough is enough and suggesting it's time they go to bed."

At check in, guests will be asked if they would like a Switch Off Call and at what time. If requested, the guests will get a call telling them it's time to turn off all electronic devices and relax before turning in for the night. In addition, Crowne Plaza is offering fresh mint tea or ginger tea, which are both known for their calming properties.
