(May 7, 2008) - New York - Accenture has entered into an agreement to acquire the business of AddVal Technology Inc., a privately owned provider of end-to-end shipment-management products and services to global freight-management and airline-cargo companies.  Based in Cupertino, Calif., AddVal has a software development center in Chennai, India.

(May 5, 2008) - Boston - based energy solutions developer EnerNOC has acquired South River Consulting, an energy procurement and risk management services provider that primarily provides services in the Mid Atlantic region. South River is based in Baltimore. The $4.75 million acquisition, according to EnerNOC, strengthens its own position in the energy procurement services market and was a geographically strategic move, according to EnerNOC. South River's 12 employees will remain with the company.

(May 1, 2008) - Tokyo - Accenture has announced that it has completed its acquisition of SOPIA Corporation, a privately held consulting and information technology solutions company specializing in Oracle systems integration. SOPIA, which is based in Tokyo, is now part of Accenture in Japan, where Accenture is seeing more demand for enterprise resource planning.
