(July 21, 2008) - Philadelphia, PA - Unisys may change its plan to move to Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. At issue? Permission to put a sign on its proposed future headquarters, 2 Liberty Place. According to Unisys, about 220 employees would have been based there. While the city is backing Unisys, the condo owners of 2 Liberty Place are adamantly in opposition. “If we don't get the signage, we'd have to reevaluate our position," Unisys spokesman Jim Kerr told the Inquirer, explaining visibility was one of the key reasons for selecting the Philadelphia location. The company currently is based in Blue Bell, Pa.
