(May 5, 2008) - Chicago - based Navigant Consulting has acquired Chicago Partners, an economic and financial analysis consulting firm in Navigant's hometown.

Navigant, which provides dispute, investigative, operational, risk management and financial advisory solutions, will pay $50 million in cash and $23 million in stock options, as per the agreement. Chicago Partners has a staff of 90 academic and industry professional consultants, with backgrounds in economics, accounting and finance. According to Navigant, those staff members will become part of the firm, and will operate as Navigant's fourth business segment.
